- HHO generators produce hydrogen and oxygen via water electrolysis. Hydrogen has the highest calorific value of any fuel (approx. 143MJ/kg), and oxygen increases local oxygen concentration in the furnace. When co-fired with other fuels, hydrogen's catalytic combustion characteristics promote complete combustion of heavy hydrocarbons, improving furnace thermal intensity and reducing exhaust heat loss. In practice, fuel consumption can be reduced by 10%-30%.
